Monday, September 6, performing at Mojo’s for the Wide open mic will be a bunch of ambitious cats who will simply rock up on the night. This night is hosted by Justin Walshe 0408 755 233. Justin and the crew are looking for mymes, small skits, comedians and interpretive dancers - as well as songwriters - as this is the Wide Open Mic - wide open to all manner of performance! Entry is always free at Mojos on Monday’s.

Wednesday, September 8, the Fremantle Blues and Roots Club presents Damon Carren and the Phychedelic Freak Flag. Max White Trio. Heath Marshal. Entry is $10/$5 for members from 8pm.

Aw yeah! Heavenly Bookings and The Soulaverse Collective present to you "Attitude Groove", bringing you "fresh new wave groove for your total pleasure".

Kicking off the proceedings will be Perth’s finest and grooviest acoustic/pop band "Minky G and the Effects". Having recently achieved a #2 rating on the Triple J Unearthed Roots Charts with their song "Leo’s Book" (hint hint people, let’s bump it up to #1!), be sure to get you...r ass down early to catch the good vibes put forward by this terrific trio!

Next on the bill are "Dilip and the Davs". This is a band that can groove your backside off your body and smack you in the face with some heaviness at the same time! Do yourselves a favour and don’t miss them!!!

Heading up the night are "The Accumulated Gestures". Having extended their lineup this year, this Octet lay down some of the phattest of the phat, funkiest of the funky and smoothest of the smooth soul music this city has ever seen! Need we say more?

Keeping the party vibes going is DJ Screech, hittin’ you with some phat funky beats from behind the wheels of steel. His taste in music and killer sideburns are not to be missed!

The Jacknives have unleashed their latest beast, ’Backhanded Sting’ to a rock n roll ravenous world. The aural equivalent of the running of the bulls, their second long player is a witches brew of sordid garage, gutsy blues and edgy punk.

Having shared stages with the likes of The Misfits, Bob Log III and Six Ft. Hick, The Jacknives are going it alone and heading off on a 9 date national tour to spread the good word, shake the da......ncefloors and raise the roofs on seedy joints around the country.

Joined on stage by a bevy of Perth’s finest garage, punk and rock n roll bands, these will be shows to be eagerly anticipated and surely remembered.

Hitting fremantle on the second night of their tour, Saturday Sept 11 will see The Jacknives return to MOJOS BAR with 3 amazing support acts; Cal Peck & The Tramps, Rocket To Memphis and Hayley Beth. if Garage Rock, Blues and Rockabilly are your cup of tea then this right here is the hottest lineup in happening!
