Fri10 Feb 2012 :: Hussle Hussle
After a scorching hot all ladies line up last month , this month’s Hussle sees some rather strapping young masculine talent take command of the stage ..

Singer, producer, mc and instrumentalist, Rae, with his 5 peice mega star ensemble will be performing an inspired soul & hip hop set to get you grindin ... The rich instrumental backdrop provided by Rae’s band (feat. Ol Wright on cuts and samples ,Chu Laird on guitar, Sam Punimata-Faletolu on harmonies and bass and Wallah Huia on drums) allow Rae’s soulful lyricism and easy natural presence to shine. This classy act are destined for big things ..

The Hertz are an exciting new collaboration between Sam Perry (beatbox sensation) and mc Rezide (live wire mc) Combining looped and layered beatbox, harmonic vocals and sharp raps, this duo’s sound is organic, experimental and fun. Featuring elements of dubstep, grime and hip hop, these guys will astound you with what can be done with 2 mics, 2 mouths and a loop pedal .. truly awesome ..

Reppin Freo, Mike Slade and dj Realms are ready to jump start the place with their dynamic debut performance..Previously well known as the frontman for hip hop band Mechanism, Slade is no stranger to the local scene . After a few years hiatus, Mike Slade returns to the stage as a solo artist.. refreshed and honed and ready to unleash a lyrical kingtide upon the masses ..

Lockin it off are dj collective, the Cut & Paste Soundsystem .. comprised of Craig Hollywood (yes! That’s his real name) and media dons Aarom Wilson and John Mcliver aka King Jon Ill , this act is known for their anything goes party mash ups .. Between them , their eclectic styles combined produce a party vibe bigger than the sum of its parts ..whatever they dish up , you can be sure no one is immune to their infectiously danceable offerings.
